Outside my window... it is so dark that I can only see the reflection of the ceiling light in the glass. It is pouring rain and the sound soothes me.
I am thinking... I should write more often. It's comforting and clarifying.
I am thankful for... quiet nights, a warm house.
From the kitchen...a slow-cooker meal of Captain's Curry Chicken over rice, with fresh-buttered bread and orange juice...the first day of slow-cooker Saturdays.
I am wearing... an Orb hoodie, Lululemon still pants and slippers. Oh, comfort.
I am creating... a space of peace, joy and order. I need practice before bringing another baby into this world.
I am going...to get used to the idea of travel-near-home for awhile.
I am reading...Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within by Natalie Goldberg.
I am hoping... for nothing right now. Just enjoying the moment.
I am hearing... the hockey game, as Marc is streaming it on the computer in front of me.
Around the house...there are remnants of Kai playing - a ride-on car, a shoe, bouncy ball, books...
One of my favourite things...hearing Kai happily babbling to himself in his crib.
A few plans for the rest of the week...finish up report cards, bake something, play with Kai.
Welcome!
Every night I go to bed, I have thoughts swirling in my head. Things to do. Scrapbook pages I want to create. Gifts I want to make. Skills I want to learn. And, of course, daily happenings that I don't want to forget, but invariably will by tomorrow morning, only to pop up in a random thought weeks down the road. So, here I am. I may use this blog daily to empty my head and heart before cuddling up in my duvet, or as it may be, I may write in it once a month. Who knows. It is for me, but perhaps something I write or learn may spark a fire in someone else. Perhaps it may quiet a mind or make you feel like you are not alone out there. It is for me. But perhaps it is for you.
