Welcome!
Every night I go to bed, I have thoughts swirling in my head. Things to do. Scrapbook pages I want to create. Gifts I want to make. Skills I want to learn. And, of course, daily happenings that I don't want to forget, but invariably will by tomorrow morning, only to pop up in a random thought weeks down the road. So, here I am. I may use this blog daily to empty my head and heart before cuddling up in my duvet, or as it may be, I may write in it once a month. Who knows. It is for me, but perhaps something I write or learn may spark a fire in someone else. Perhaps it may quiet a mind or make you feel like you are not alone out there. It is for me. But perhaps it is for you.

Grandpa's Boy
This summer before Kelly's wedding, we went to Music in the Park in Agassiz with my parents and Kelly. Even though the band was rock, Kai is still a three-year old boy and needed to run around every so often. In one of these activity breaks, he was playing a game with my dad where they counted to three and Kai would throw himself at Grandpa. At the time, Kai was learning to let us know when he was going to jump, as he had not told us upon occassion and had a huge crash, hurting himself when we could not react fast enough or didn't see him at all. So here Kai was, jumping and trying to remember to count to three first...my dad, being the cheeky guy he is kept teasing Kai, counting to two and getting Kai all excited and then saying "wait, wait, wait...I'm not ready yet." After multiple times of being teased, finally Kai just jumped without warning. Luckily, my dad was ready and waiting and the game went on. Yes, my son comes by the twinkle in his eye honestly. He is Grandpa's boy in so many ways...
